Due to the threat of Super Typhoon Nando and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon, several areas have announced class and work suspensions for Monday, September 22, 2025.

Government Work Suspensions
Pangasinan: Work in government offices is suspended starting at 1 p.m. in observance of the 33rd National Family Week.

National Government Offices (Executive Branch): 

Malacañang has ordered a suspension of work starting at 1 p.m. to allow employees to observe "Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day." Government agencies providing vital services, such as disaster preparedness and basic health care, will remain operational.

Weather Update

Super Typhoon Nando (with the international name RAGASA) has intensified into a super typhoon.
As of 11:00 AM on September 21, 2025, its eye was located 535 km east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. The super typhoon has maximum sustained winds of 185 km/h and gusts up to 230 km/h, and it is moving westward at 15 km/h. Strong to typhoon-force winds extend outwards up to 530 km from the center.
