Walang Pasok: Class suspensions, Thursday, March 6, 2025


Several local government units (LGUs) in the Philippines have announced class suspensions for Thursday, March 6, 2025, due to the extreme heat index forecasted by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). 

The affected areas include:
• Los Baños, Laguna - (all levels, public and private)
• San Jose del Monte, Bulacan - (Kinder to Senior High School)
• Cavite City - (all levels, public and private)
• Pasay City - (all levels, public and private)
• Candaba, Pampanga - (all levels, public and private until March 7)
• Claveria, Cagayan - (all levels, public and private)
• Sanchez Mira, Cagayan - (all levels, public and private)
• Himamaylan, Negros Occidental - (all levels, public and private)
• Appari, Cagayan - (all levels, public and private)
• San Luis, Batangad - (all levels, public and private)
• Cabuyao,Laguna - (all levels, public and private)
• Norzagaray, Bulacan (Kinder to Senior High School)
• Gonzaga, Cagayan (Kinder to Senior High School)
• Los Baños, Laguna - (all levels, public and private)
• Kawit, Cavite - (all levels, public and private)
• Calauan, Laguna - (all levels, public and private)
• Bacoor, Cavite - (all levels, public and private)
• Lallo, Cagayan - (all levels, public and private)

The Department of Education (DepEd) has authorized school heads to suspend in-person classes and shift to alternative delivery modes (ADM) in cases of extreme heat and other calamities that may compromise the health and safety of learners, teachers, and non-teaching personnel.
 
Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay hydrated, avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and monitor further announcements from local authorities regarding class schedules and safety measures.
