VP Sec Duterte advises no punishment for teacher who scolded students on TikTok

Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte decided not to impose penalties on a teacher who was criticized online for scolding students during a TikTok live stream. 

During a quick talk in Cambodia, Duterte mentioned she understood the teacher's side and advised her to take a break from teaching if she feels angry, suggesting she should resume classes once calm.

'Sinabihan ko ang regional office natin na there will be no penalties for the teacher. Just to remind the teacher that if she is angry, she has to pause. Itigil muna 'yung klase and when she's not angry anymore, saka siya magklase ulit," Duterte said.
