New classification of individuals for COVID-19

Know the new classification of individuals for COVID-19 in our country:

The Department of Health (DOH) introduces new classification of corona virus disease (COVID-19) patients in the country.

The term “person under monitoring (PUM)” and “person under investigation (PUI)” will be replaced with SUSPECT, PROBABLE, and CONFIRMED according to DOH.

With the new classification a person will be considered as:

• SUSPECT if: PUI (mild, severe, critical) who hasn't had a test or not been tested.
• PROBABLE if: PUI (mild, severe, critical) that is uncertain / specific test results.
• CONFIRMED if: COVID-19 Positive

New agency classification aims to have uniformed reporting to make our steps more focused against the #COVID19 pandemic said DOH.
