Class cancellations for Monday, September 30 due to nationwide transport strike

#walangPasok: Nationwide transport strike set for Monday, Sept. 30

The nationwide transportation strike scheduled on Monday, September 30 to protest the government's Public utility Vehicle (PUV) modernization program will push through despite the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB)’s appeal, said major transportation groups. Reports said that some of the major groups involved are Stop and Go Coalition, the Pinagkaisang Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Operators Nationwide (PISTON) and Alliance of Concert Transport Organization (ACTO).

Jun Magno from Stop and Go Coalition called on President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to hear their demands and scrap the planned modernization program of old PUVs .
