Classes and work in the government will be cut short on Monday, September 23, 2019 in some areas in observance of National Family Week.
Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 60, s 1992, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will lead the celebration of the 27th National Family Week Celebration with the theme, "Tungo sa maginhawa, Matatag at Panatag na Pamilyang Pilipino," on September 23-28, 2019. The celebration aims to strengthen the Filipino family unity and relationship through meaningful celebration and promotion of Filipino values.

Here's the live list of class and work suspensions:

- Vigan City Division - classes in all public schools in the afternoon
- Quezon City – classes for all public schools and work for Quezon City government employees to end at 2 p.m.
- Mandaluyong City - classes in all public schools to end at 2 p.m.
- Navotas City - work for Navotas City government employees to end at 2 p.m.
- Pasig City - no afternoon classes for all public schools; work for Pasig City government employees to end at 2 p.m.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: All teachers are excused from attending to work after class suspensions.
The Supreme Court (SC) has also announced that courts nationwide will be open only until 2 p.m. on September 23.
To promote public awareness in the observance of the event, and as an opening activity of the family Week Celebration on September 23 all government agencies and state universities and colleges are encouraged to extend their full support through the following activities:
1. Simultaneous ringing of bells at 12:00 pm, dubbed as Ring a Family Bell as a symbol of nationwide awareness and commitment to commemorate the solidarity and unity of the Filipino family.
In line with this, the National Commitee on the Filipino Family (NCFF) enjoins all Filipino families to observe the "Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day" on September 23, 2019 wherein government agencies may dismiss their employees at 2:00 pm from work to encourage them to spend mealtime with their families.
