GSIS to release annual dividends to active members

Members of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) will receive their annual cash benefit upon the approval the GSIS Board of Trustees.

Cash Benefit is an amount distributed by GSIS annually to active members or policyholders of the life insurance plan as they share in the Social Insurance Fund (SIF) income.

The SIF is derived from all members' contributions, including the income and growth of GSIS investments. This fund also provides GSIS with other benefits provided to members.

Members better recognize Cash Benefit as a dividend.

GSIS will automatically credit the benefits of all qualified GSIS members to their GSIS unified multipurpose identification (UMID) card.

GSIS has not missed yet granting this cash benefit to its members.

Last year, 2018, GSIS annual cash dividends were released on December 22, 2018,

On 2017, GSIS cash dividends were granted to its members on December 15, 2017.

If the member has not received a dividend but is qualified according to the requirements,  he /she may request to receive the Cash Benefit using Members’ Request Form (MRF), which can be downloaded from GSIS website – DOWNLOAD MRF

Qualified to receive the cash benefits are GSIS members whose compulsory life insurance policies have been in force for at least one year as of December 31, 2018.
