Free DepEd-NEAP Training on Building Safe Schools with Certificate

REGION I — The Department of Education (DepEd), through the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP), has announced the official rollout of the Training on Building Safe Schools: Strengthening Teacher Capacity in Risk Assessment and Referral, Psychological First Aid, and Homeroom Guidance.

Program Overview and Objectives

• The training is designed to strengthen teacher capacity in risk assessment and referral, psychological first aid, and homeroom guidance.
• Specifically, it aims to enhance participant capabilities in risk identification, referral mechanisms, psychological first aid, and the effective implementation of the Homeroom Guidance Program in schools.
• The course is hosted on the DepEd Learning Management System (LMS) as a self-paced program, allowing participants to learn and complete modules at their own convenience.
• Participants who successfully complete all required components—including pre-tests, activities, post-tests, and evaluation forms—will receive a free Certificate of Participation via the DepEd LMS.

• Other Learner Support Personnel

Monitoring and Support Guidelines

• Schools Division Offices, through the SGOD HRDS SEPS/EPS II, are tasked to monitor and ensure that all participants have full access to training resources and necessary support.
• Immediate supervisors are also requested to monitor participant progress and encourage timely completion.

TRAINING ON BUILDING SAFE SCHOOLS: STRENGTHENING TEACHER CAPACITY IN RISK ASSESSMENT AND REFERRAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL FIRST AID, AND HOMEROOM GUIDANCE

To: Schools Division Superintendents

1. The Department of Education through the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP), will launch the Training on Building Safe Schools: Strengthening Teacher Capacity in Risk Assessment and Referral, Psychological First Aid, and Homeroom Guidance through the DepEd Learning Management System (LMS) via link: https://bit.ly/LMS_Homeroom_Guidance.

2. This training aims to strengthen the capacity of participants in risk identification, referral mechanisms, psychological first aid, and the effective implementation of the Homeroom Guidance Program in schools.

3. The target participants are all public school teachers, school leaders, registered guidance counselors, guidance designates, and other learner support personnel.

4. Participants who successfully complete all required components (e.g. pre-test, activities, post-test, evaluation form etc.) shall receive a certificate of participation via LMS.

5. Schools Division Offices through the SGOD HRDS SEPS/EPS II, are requested to monitor and ensure that all participants have full access to the training resources and are provided with the necessary support to complete the course.

6. Immediate supervisors of the participants are likewise requested to monitor their progress and encourage the timely completion of the training requirements.
