No New Official Lesson Plan Policy or Grading System Yet

The Department of Education (DepEd) has not yet approved a final version of the new lesson plan format or grading system. The versions circulating on social media are sourced only from orientation briefers and are not final.

The official policy will be issued only after stakeholder consultations and feedback are completed. Please refrain from purchasing any materials for now to avoid waste, as further changes may still be implemented.

The materials and templates currently circulating on social media are not official policies. They are merely excerpts from orientation briefers intended for preliminary discussion and internal review.

The "95 Average" Rumor:
Posts claiming that a student now needs a 95% general average to receive an excellence award (Academic Honors) are not official. Under current national guidelines, a 90% average still qualifies a student for honors. While discussions about raising standards or removing "transmutation tables" have occurred in orientation sessions, no such policy has been signed or implemented for the general public.

Status of Templates:
The lesson plan templates and grading sheets being shared are merely excerpts from orientation briefers used for internal review and pilot discussions (such as the MATATAG Curriculum or the proposed three-term school calendar). They are subject to significant changes based on ongoing feedback.

These briefers are subject to change and do not represent the final implementation guidelines.

DepEd is still in the process of gathering feedback and suggestions from various stakeholders.

"This website "Guide to Learning Systems Updates" contains supplementary materials for ORIENTATION PURPOSES ONLY. Expect continuous updates as we release official DepEd orders."

The official and final policy will only be issued once all consultations are concluded and adjustments are finalized.

Please refrain from purchasing any pre-printed lesson logs or materials for now. This will prevent unnecessary expenses and waste in the event that further modifications are made to the format.
