The Teaching with Impact: Using Canva Education and AI to Transform Learning program equips DepEd teachers and personnel with skills to design engaging, interactive content using Canva. This hands-on workshop provides practical training to integrate Canva into daily teaching, simplify complex concepts, and boost student engagement. The training will take place over two days: June 27 and July 4, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. By mastering these tools, educators will be able to foster creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking in the classroom while earning valuable professional development credits.

The comprehensive workshop is built around three distinct pillars aimed at modernizing the educational approach:
- Design Learning Without Limits: Strategically create and manage Canva-designed educational materials that are advanced, multidisciplinary, and responsive to diverse learning needs.

A Comprehensive Two-Day Curriculum
The event features a rigorous activity matrix led by Senior Academic Specialist Ms. Margarita Perez, LPT, M.Ed, and Academic Specialist Ms. Daisy Briones, LPT, M.Ed. The sessions are designed to highlight AI features that automate tasks, personalize learning, and simplify complex concepts.
Day 1: Teacher Empowerment (June 27, 2026)
The opening day heavily emphasizes integrating AI into lesson design and instructional materials.
- Sessions will guide teachers through Understanding AI in Education and provide an introduction to Canva's Magic Studio tools like Magic Write, Magic Design, and Magic Edit.
- Participants will learn how to craft a classroom visual using Canva's AI image tools.
- The day culminates with participants completing the Canva AI Certification and participating in a workshop to build an AI-Enhanced Lesson Kit tailored to their specific subjects and grade levels.
Day 2: Student Application (July 4, 2026)
The second day shifts the focus toward student-facing tools and fostering digital responsibility.
- Educators will determine which Canva AI tools are suitable for students by evaluating their age appropriateness and educational value.
- Workshops will cover how to design a sample student project that integrates Canva AI as a creative aid while requiring students to analyze ideas, make informed decisions, and produce original work.
- The program will conclude with a session on Collaborative Learning with Canva, teaching educators how to design and organize a collaborative Canva classroom workspace.
