In response, Senator Angara assured that he would prioritize the interests of students, teachers, parents, and communities over any political agenda.
Meaning, to advance a personal agenda.
(They have a point because they fear that if a politician takes the position, they might use the department for politics. Meaning to advance a personal agenda. I will never do that because, as a secretary here, we are called the alter-ego or representative of the President) Angara stated.

Addressing the demand for a salary increase among teachers, Angara expressed confidence that a raise would happen during President Marcos's term. But I'm confident because every administration, nagkakaroon ng pagtaas ng mga teachers. (Increasing the salaries of our government employees is no small feat. But I'm confident because every administration has had salary increases for teachers. I believe that within President Marcos's term, we will have a salary increase for teachers.)
