VIGAN CITY - Teachers in the Division of Vigan City, Vigan, Ilocos Sur, will not be required to participate in the division checking of forms from June 1 to June 30, 2024, allowing them to enjoy an uninterrupted vacation. This decision, announced in Division Memorandum No. 139, s. 2024, was issued by Vilma Eda, CESO V, of the Schools Division Office, and delegates the responsibility of submitting and delivering school forms to administrative staff during this period.

This decision aligns with DepEd Order No. 003, s. 2024, providing teachers with a month-long break.

The Division Memorandum No. 139, s. 2024, detailed the schedule and procedures for the checking of promotional reports for the School Year 2023-2024. It specified that while teachers are on vacation, administrative staff including Administrative Officers, Administrative Assistants, and Registrars will be responsible for delivering the required school forms to the designated venues for division checking.

The checking process for various grade levels will take place as follows:

- Kinder, Grades 6, 10, and 12: May 21-22 (school level), May 23-24 & 27-28 (division level)
- Grades 1 to 5, 7 to 9, and 11: May 27-31 (school level, except on scheduled EOSY rites), June 3-7 (division level)

Key school forms to be submitted include the SF4 Monthly Learner's Movement and Attendance, SF5 Report on Promotion and Learning Progress and Achievement, SF6 Summarized Report, and the SF10 Learner Permanent Record for Grade 12.

The memorandum emphasizes the need for strict adherence to DepEd Order No. 11, s. 2018, regarding the preparation and checking of school forms. School heads are also advised to conduct orientations on the checking process.

This vacation period is seen as a well-deserved break for teachers, allowing them to recharge before the next academic year. The division office has ensured that all necessary measures are in place to maintain the efficiency and accuracy of the promotional reports during this period.
