The memorandum, signed by Atty. Revsee A. Escobedo, Undersecretary for Operations, and Francis Cesar B. Bringas, Assistant Secretary for Operations, outlines the following key points:
1. No Physical Attendance Required:
Public school teaching personnel are not required to report physically to their respective schools or stations on October 31 and November 3, 2023. This means that teachers will not need to be physically present in schools on these dates.
2. Emphasis on Blended Learning: School Heads are advised to implement their established remote monitoring systems and procedures to ensure that blended learning methods, including modular and asynchronous approaches, are effectively enforced in all schools on the mentioned dates. This aims to continue educational activities without interruption despite the elections.
This memorandum aims to ensure the safety and convenience of teaching personnel while maintaining the continuity of education during the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.
Concerned parties are urged to refer to the memorandum for further details and compliance. The Department of Education encourages all stakeholders to adhere to these guidelines for the successful conduct of classes during the election period.
