DepEd announces dates and theme for 2023 Brigada Eskwela.

In preparation for the upcoming school year 2023-2024, the Department of Education (DepEd) is set to launch its annual "Brigada Eskwela" or National Schools Maintenance Week this August 2023. The event promotes shared governance and community involvement in enhancing public elementary and secondary schools nationwide.

With the theme "Bayanihan Para Sa Matatag na Paaralan," the Brigada Eskwela activities are scheduled to take place from August 14 to August 19, 2023, as stated in the Unnumbered Memorandum dated July 7, 2023. The theme underscores the significance of collective effort in building strong and resilient educational institutions.

To formally kick off the Brigada Eskwela activities, DepEd will conduct the National BE Kickoff Program on August 7, 2023, which will be hosted at Tarlac National High School. The event will be live-streamed via DepEd Philippines' official Facebook Page and other DepEd-sanctioned social media platforms, allowing a wider audience to participate in the celebration.
