Official Number of Class Days and Holidays for School Year 2020-2021

The School Year (SY) 2020-2021 Teaching and Learning Activities formally opened on Monday, October 5, 2020 and shall end on June 5, 2021.

School Year (SY) 2020-2021 shall consist of 205 school days. Christmas break shall begin on December 19, 2019 and classes resume on January 4, 2020.

The first academic quarter starts on October 5, 2020 and ends on November 28, 2020. the second quarter shall be from December 1, 2020 to February 6 2021, third quarter shall be from February 15, 2021 to April 10. 2021 and the fourth quarter shall be from April 12, 2021 to June 5, 2021.

Because of the compressed school year, the Secretary is authorizing the holding of Saturday classes, through the conduct of distance learning activities to be undertaken by learners, pursuant to Republic Act No. 7797, as amended. Should religious considerations prohibit these Saturday activities, they shall be undertaken on Sundays. In all, the total class days in the 2020-2021 school calendar will be 205 days according to DepEd Order 30, S 2020 or or the Amendment to DepEd Order No. 007 s. 2020 or School Calendar and activities for the School Year 2020-2021.

Pursuant to the DepEd Order No. 030, s. 2020, here is the Official Number of Class Days for each month of SY 2020-2021.

According to the adjusted school calendar remedial, advancement and enrichment classes during summer shall begin on Monday, June 14, 2021 and end on Friday July 23, 2021.
