DepEd releases clothing allowance, April salary, differential

The Department of Education (DepEd) Monday, April 1 already started crediting to the ATM account the April salaries, and uniform or clothing allowance to all qualified teaching and non-teaching personnel.



As of this posting, many teachers from different divisions confirmed that they already received the clothing allowance amounting to P 6,000, April salary and differential for January.

Clothing allowance defray expenses for uniforms or distinctive clothing which are the required appropriate attire for employees in the regular performance of their work.

Earlier DepEd Secretary Briones instructed the Finance units to fast-track the processing and early release of March and April salary and other benefits of employees like clothing allowance, 13th month pay and Hazard / Overtime Pay to provide assistance for urgent, critical and immediate responses related to COVID-19 threats.

If your clothing allowance is not yet credited to your ATM account, rest assured that you will receive it at a later time.


Who are entitled to Clothing/ Uniform Allowance?

As stated in the General Appropriations Act (GAA) a clothing allowance not exceeding Php 6,000 per annum will be given to qualified civilian government personnel to defray expenses for uniforms or distinctive clothing which are the required appropriate attire for employees in the regular performance of their work. In general, such uniforms or clothing are intended to identify the employees with their mother agencies and to convey emblem of authority; and serve as protective or working clothing; especially for maintenance, workshop, and farm personnel.


U/CA covers civilian government personnel occupying regular,contractual, or casual positions; appointive or elective; rendering services on full-time or part-time basis.
