Here's the latest status update on the Grant of Medical Examination Allowance for Teachers.

Medical Examination Allowance was proposed by the Department of Education (DepED to cover the yearly medical examination for teachers. This is one of the proposed benefits of teachers vetoed by President Rodrigo Duterte subject to conditional implementation in the FY 2019 General Appropriations Act.

As part of the report on the ongoing dialogue between the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) as posted in Manila Public School Teachers Association - MPSTA ACT NCR UNION Facebook post, dated November 30, 2019, the DBM has provided an update regarding the vetoed P500 medical allowance for teachers.

It was clarified that the said vetoed medical allowance is already in DBM’s legal department and they will see if it is still possible to provide it and for teachers to receive it this December.
