Eidul Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice) is a Muslim celebration that honors the willingness of Ibrahim to obey Allah and also commemorates the end of the Hajj



President Rodrigo Duterte declared August 12, Monday, as a regular holiday in observance of Eidul Adha, a Muslim celebration that honors the willingness of Ibrahim to obey Allah and also commemorates the end of the Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca).



According to some sources, Eid al-Adha Eidul Adha or "Feast of Sacrifice," falls under Dhu al-Hijjah, which is on the twelfth month of the Islamic calendar, which is considered as particularly sacred month in the year. Muslims celebrate this feast every tenth day of the month, which changes each year.



The Palace follows the recommendation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos in setting the final dates of this holiday.
