| SUBJECT: | Guidelines for the Opening of Classes and Calendar of Activities for School Year 2026-2027 |
The Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council recommends Local Government Units (LGUs) to adapt the following guidelines to ensure the implementation of quality Early Learning Programs:
- Child Development Teachers/Workers and other ECCD service providers conduct the Community Mapping to support the LGU in planning the implementation of various ECCD programs and services prior to the enrolment.
- Enrollment shall be as follows:
- Children aged 0 to 2-years-old: Infant-Toddler Early Development (ITED) Program
- 3-year-old children: Pre-Kindergarten 1 Program
- 4-year-old children: Pre-Kindergarten 2 Program
- Child Development Centers are scheduled to start the School Year 2026-2027 on June 15, 2026 and end on March 19, 2027.
- Centers must conduct a Parent Orientation covering Program Goals, Calendar, Health Protocols, and Alternative Modes of Implementation.
- LGUs are encouraged to conduct the Bayanihang Bulilit activity to refurbish facilities before classes start.
- Health and safety protocols must be consistently observed. LGUs may choose alternative learning delivery based on local health circumstances.
