As mandated by the new guidelines, schools and teachers must prioritize assessment quality over quantity to prevent assessment overload and excessive checking. For Key Stage 4 (Grades 11–12), the maximum limit for a Term Examination (TE) is strictly set at 60 items. Consequently, your Summative Tests must not exceed exactly half of that limit, meaning a maximum of 30 items per test.
