Asynchronous Copilot Chat Training for DepEd and Non-DepEd Teachers
Asynchronous Copilot Chat Training for DepEd and Non-DepEd Teachers
Teachers from both the Department of Education (DepEd) and private institutions who registered and attended the recent Copilot Chat webinar are now participating in an asynchronous learning program aimed at strengthening their skills in using AI-powered tools for teaching.
The training follows the Copilot Chat workshop held on May 30, 2026 via Microsoft Teams, which introduced educators to AI-driven support systems designed for future-ready classrooms. Organizers have now transitioned participants into a self-paced phase where they can apply what they learned through guided activities.
Training Requirements and CPD Certification
Organizers released a summary of the requirements needed to successfully complete the program and qualify for Certificates of Completion and up to 10 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points. Participants must accomplish the following:
- Pre-Assessment and Attendance Form
- Webinar Evaluation Form
- Asynchronous Session (For DepEd Teachers)
- Asynchronous Session (For Non-DepEd Teachers)
- Post-Test and Asynchronous Evaluation Form
All requirements must be completed on or before June 4, 2026 at 5:00 PM, after which submission portals will automatically close.
Nine Activities for Practical Application
The asynchronous session includes nine structured activities that allow teachers to explore how Microsoft Copilot Chat can assist in daily teaching tasks such as lesson planning, instructional material development, and administrative work.
For each activity, participants are required to submit:
- The exact prompt entered into Copilot Chat
- The output generated by the tool
- A short reflection on how Copilot Chat helped in the task
These requirements ensure that teachers not only use the technology but also evaluate and validate its results.
Accessing the Learning Management System (LMS)
Organizers provided clear instructions for accessing the LMS platform, which varies depending on whether the participant is a DepEd or non-DepEd teacher.
For DepEd Teachers:
- Visit the official DepEd LMS site: https://learning.deped.gov.ph
- Log in using your DepEd email account
- Enter your username and password, or choose “Sign in with Microsoft”
- Once logged in, navigate to the Copilot Chat training course
(An LMS login interface displaying username, password fields, and a Microsoft sign-in option is shown in the provided material.)
For Non-DepEd Teachers:
- Access the training portal via the provided LMS link for non-DepEd personnel > LMS FOR NON-DEPED
- Use your registered school or personal email account to log in
- Open the assigned Copilot Chat course and begin the activities
(Participants were directed through a portal page featuring buttons labeled “LMS for DepEd Personnel” and “LMS for Non-DepEd Personnel.”)
Completion Requirements and Deadline
Teachers must complete all activities, along with a post-test and final evaluation, by June 4, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Organizers emphasized that the submission form will automatically close after the deadline.
Successful participants will receive Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points and a certificate of completion, which will be sent via email once all requirements are validated.
Moving Toward AI-Enabled Education
With participation from both DepEd and non-DepEd educators, the program highlights a growing effort to integrate artificial intelligence into teaching practices across the Philippines. Organizers expressed optimism that the asynchronous training will help teachers become more efficient, innovative, and adaptive in today’s digital learning environment.
“Happy learning, teachers!” organizers said, encouraging participants to fully engage in the activities as they complete their training journey.
