Malacañang declares local holidays for November, December
Malacañang released a series of Presidential Proclamations designating special non-working holidays in various cities and municipalities across the Philippines for November and December 2024.
Issued by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on behalf of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., these proclamations set the following dates as special non-working days:
• November 8, 2024: Tanay, Rizal (Proclamation No. 725)
• November 12, 2024: Valenzuela City (Proclamation No. 711)
• November 15, 2024: Oriental Mindoro Province (Proclamation No. 712) and Borongan, Eastern Samar (Proclamation No. 726)
• November 22, 2024: Palayan City, Nueva Ecija (Proclamation No. 713), Itogon, Benguet (Proclamation No. 715), and Tublay, Benguet (Proclamation No. 716)
• November 23, 2024: Benguet Province (Proclamation No. 717)
• November 25, 2024: Marasugan, Davao de Oro (Proclamation No. 718)
• November 26, 2024: Dasmariñas City, Cavite (Proclamation No. 719)
• November 28, 2024: Sarangani Province (Proclamation No. 720) and Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte (Proclamation No. 721)
• December 5, 2024: Palayan City, Nueva Ecija (Proclamation No. 714)
Additionally, President Marcos designated the second week of October as "National Myopia Consciousness Week" (Proclamation No. 722) and October 19 as "Transport Cooperative Day" (Proclamation No. 723).
