Class suspensions for Wednesday, October 23, 2024

Classes for Wednesday, October 23, 2024, have been suspended in some areas due to the effects of Tropical Depression Kristine.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has raised storm warning signals over parts of the Philippines. Catanduanes is now under Signal No. 2, while most of Luzon is under Signal No. 1. According to the Department of Education (DepEd) guideljnes on class suspensions, in-person and online classes from Kindergarten to Grade 12 with warning signals are automatically suspended. Residents are advised to check if their areas are affected by the storm.

Class suspensions for Wednesday, October 23, 2024

Here are some areas where classes have been suspended on October 23, 2024, due to Tropical Depression Kristine:

• Laguna province: All levels (private and public)
• Bulusan, Sorsogon: All levels (private and public)
• Cavite province: All levels (private and public)
• Mulanay, Quezon province: All levels (private and public)

Meanwhile, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla has also recommended to all local government units in Luzon to suspend classes until October 23 to ensure the safety of students.
