DepED suspends RPMS 2024-2025 for School-Based Personnel
The Department of Education (DepEd) has announced the suspension of the Results-Based Performance Management System (RPMS) for all school-based personnel for the school year 2024-2025. This decision follows Executive Order No. 61, Series of 2024, issued on June 3, 2024. As amended, the executive order temporarily halts the implementation of Administrative Order No. 25 (s. 2011) and Executive Order No. 80 (s. 2012).
According to Secretary Sonny M. Angara, the suspension affects all activities related to RPMS at the school level, including performance planning, monitoring, assessment, and evaluation of school heads, teachers, and non-teaching staff. The move aims to allow school personnel to concentrate on preparations for the new school year and to review and streamline the RPMS process to ease teachers' workloads.
Despite this suspension, the results from the RPMS Office Performance Commitment and Rating Form (OPCRF) and Individual Performance Commitment and Review Form (IPCRF) will still be required for specific human resource actions. These include eligibility for monetary and non-monetary performance incentives, such as step increments, bonuses, promotions, awards, and training opportunities.
The Department confirms that submitting OPCRF and IPCRF ratings for the school year 2023-2024 will remain mandatory to ensure that personnel are not disqualified from performance-related incentives.
However, the RPMS for non-school-based personnel within the DepEd Central Office, Regional Offices, and Schools Division Offices will continue as planned, with existing guidelines for OPCRF and IPCRF completion remaining in effect.
