MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Education (DepEd) announced on Sunday, April 7th, that all public schools nationwide will switch to asynchronous classes or distance learning on Monday, April 8th, 2024. This decision aims to give students adequate time to complete outstanding assignments, projects, and other academic requirements.

Teaching and non-teaching personnel must not physically report to school stations. Private schools shall have the option to adopt similar asynchronous learning measures but are not mandated to do so.

The DepEd encourages students to use this opportunity to catch up on their studies.
