2023 Brigada Eskwela Implementing Guidelines
The Department of Education (DepEd) has released the implementing guidelines for this year's Brigada Eskwela (BE), a nationwide school maintenance program set to take place from August 14-19, 2023.
The program encourages education stakeholders, including local communities, parents, and even teachers and students, to volunteer for various tasks such as school clean-ups and repairs.This comes after the lifting of the State of Public Health Emergency throughout the country due to COVID-19. All related restrictions, including mask-wearing and social distancing, have been lifted.
The new guidelines are to be strictly followed and broadly supported across all regional and school divisions, as per DepEd Order No. 021.8.2023 signed by Vice President and Secretary of the Department of Education, Sara Duterte
