The PBB is a performance-based incentive granted to government personnel who have demonstrated exceptional performance and contributed significantly to the achievement of their agencies' targets and goals. It serves as an acknowledgment of their hard work and dedication to public service.

Release of PBB 2021 delayed for 15 regions
The PBB) for the fiscal year 2021 has been delayed for 15 regions due to duplicate entries and personnel problems. While the National Capital Region (NCR) received their PBB on July 4, the remaining regions still await their payouts. The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has returned the PBB 2021 Form 1.0 to the Department of Education (DepEd) after discovering duplicate entries and personnel not included in the official records.
The affected DepEd regions include Regions I, II, III, IV-A, IV-B, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, CARAGA, and CAR. The DBM identified various issues during their examination, such as duplicate names and individuals not listed in the official records of personnel. Consequently, the DBM has returned the forms to the Personnel Division of the Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development (BHROD) for revalidation and revision.
The revalidation process conducted by the BHROD aims to address the discrepancies found in the submitted forms. By resolving issues like duplicated names and missing personnel in the official records, the DepEd seeks to ensure accuracy and fairness in distributing the PBB to deserving school-based personnel in the affected regions.
The DBM Central Office is still awaiting the revised Form 1.0 for the 15 regions. Once received, the DBM will release the funds for the PBB to the personnel in the DepEd regions. The DBM reaffirms its commitment to promptly releasing the PBB and expresses solidarity with the teachers and educators who have contributed significantly to the nation. The DBM assures the public that it will work closely with the DepEd to address the situation promptly. Once all the requirements are provided, the DBM will ensure the quick release of the PBB.
