DepEd to release guidelines on reducing teachers' administrative tasks.

The Department of Education (DepEd) is set to address teachers' major concerns regarding their excessive administrative tasks. DepEd spokesperson Michael Poa announced during a post-SONA discussion on poverty reduction that interim guidelines aimed at reducing teachers' administrative tasks will be issued in the coming weeks.

The guidelines will facilitate the transfer of administrative responsibilities to non-teaching personnel, allowing teachers to focus more on their primary role in the classroom. The DepEd plans to hire around 20,000 additional non-teaching personnel and teachers this year to support this initiative.

With these measures, the DepEd aims to alleviate the workload and hours spent on administrative duties, providing teachers with more time and resources to enhance their students' learning experience.
