Release of PBB 2021 Update as of June 8, 2023

The Department of Education (DepEd )in the National Capital Region (NCR) has announced that the Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) for school-based personnel will be released soon.

In a memorandum to Schools Division Superintendents, DepEd NCR Regional Director Wilfredo E. Cabral said that the PBB for FY 2021 has been validated and is now on the process of issuance of Notice of Cash Allocation (NCA) by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM)-NCR.

Cabral directed the Schools Division Superintendents to prepare the payroll for the PBB based on the submitted final Form 1.0 (List of Eligibles). He also requested them to report the status of payment to the Personnel Section as soon as the NCA is released by DBM-NCR.

The PBB is a bonus given to government employees who have met or exceeded their performance targets. The amount of the bonus is equivalent to 65% of the employee's monthly basic salary.

The release of the PBB is a welcome news for school-based personnel in NCR, who have been waiting for the bonus for over a year. The bonus will be a much-needed financial assistance for these personnel, who have been working hard to ensure that the students in NCR receive a quality education.

1. Please be informed that the FY 2021 PBB of School Level Personnel is finally validated and on the process of issuance of respective Notice of Cash Allocation (NCA) by DBM-NCR.

2. In this connection and to expedite release of payment to individual school level personnel, you are directed to prepare the payroll for this, based on the submitted final Form 1.0 (List of Eligibles). As such you are also requested to report the status of payment (c/o the Personnel Section) as soon NCA is released by DBM-NCR.
