Rescheduling of 3rd Quarterly Assessment in light of Eid'l Fitr
In light of the recent celebration of Eid al-Fitr, the scheduled quarterly assessment that was supposed to be held on April 20-21, wherein the second day, Friday has been declared a holiday, will be rescheduled.
Eid al-Fitr, also known as the "Festival of Breaking the Fast," is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. The celebrations typically last for three days and involve feasting, socializing, giving gifts, and participating in prayer services. It is a time of forgiveness, reflection, and generosity for Muslims as they express gratitude to Allah for the blessings received during Ramadan.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. proclaimed April 21, 2023, as a regular holiday throughout the country to bring the religious and cultural significance of the Eid'l Fitr to the fore of national consciousness, and to allow the entire Filipino nation to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony in the observance and celebration of Eid'l Fitr.

PROCLAMATION NO. 201
DECLARING FRIDAY, 21 APRIL 2023, A REGULAR HOLIDAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY IN OBSERVANCE OF EID'L FITR (FEAST OF RAMADHAN)
The Department of Education (DepEd) schools shall reschedule the exam to ensure that all students have ample time to prepare and perform their best.
The decision to reschedule the exam was made considering the importance of Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan and is celebrated by Muslims worldwide.
The DepEd recognizes the significance of this religious holiday and has ensured that students and teachers are given time to celebrate and spend quality time with their families.
In the meantime, students are advised to utilize this extra time to revise and prepare thoroughly for the exam. Teachers shall provide additional study materials and support to their students, to ensure they are well-prepared for the rescheduled exam.
The rescheduling of the exam is in the best interest of the students and will not affect their academic progress.
The rescheduling of the periodical test due to Eid al-Fitr showed that DepEd is committed to providing an environment in which students can thrive academically while also respecting their cultural and religious beliefs.
The new exam date will be announced by school authorities in schools soon, and students are encouraged to use this extra time to prepare thoroughly.
The Third Academic Quarter will end on April 28, Friday and the Fourth Academic Quarter will start on May 2, 2023.
