Classes suspended in all levels in NCR, CAR, Calabarzon, Regions 1, 2, 3, and 5
Statement from President Bongbong Marcos:
“I have received and approved the recommendation of NDRRMC to suspend classes and work as specified in their letter.
The Palace will issue a memorandum circular stating the same before the end of the day.”

Dear Mr. President:
We would like to respectfully inform the President on the anticipated heavy to intense torrential rainfall to be brought about by Super Typhoon "KARDING", and hoisting of Wind Signal No. 5. Based on latest forecast track by PAGASA, Super Typhoon "KARDING" may make landfall tonight in the vicinity of northern portion of Quezon or eastern portion of Aurora; and may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Tuesday. September 27.
In this regard, the NDRRMC recommends the suspension of work in government offices in National Capital Region, including the provinces in Regions I, II, CAR, III, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and V on 26 September 2022 (Monday), excluding frontline agencies which are providing emergency services. The identification of the Regions is based on the analysis determined from the NDRRMC's Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA).
Further, classes of public schools at all levels are likewise recommended for suspension. The same course of action for private companies, offices and schools is left to the discretion of their respective heads.
The recommended suspension will prevent any untoward incidents and will ensure the safety of the general public. We hope for His Excellency's consideration and approval.
