On July 25, 2022, over a month after taking office as the 17th President of the Philippines, Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. delivers his first State of the Nation Address (SONA) as the 19th Congress's joint session (first regular session) is formally opened in Quezon City's Batasang Pambansa.

The plans that President Marcos Jr.'s administration has revealed for the country's upcoming year include those related to the economy, agriculture, agrarian reform, social welfare, health, education, digitalization, infrastructure, energy, climate change, Filipino migrant workers, and foreign policy, among other things.

The SONA is an annual tradition, and constitutional obligation of the Chief Executive specified in the 1987 Constitution. During the SONA, the President reports on the country's state, unveils the government's plan for the coming year, and proposes specific legislative measures before both Houses of Congress.
