DepEd suspends classes in public schools nationwide for 10 days
Classes in public schools nationwide will be suspended for ten days in May 2022.
OFFICIAL UPDATE (April 18, 2022):
Walang pasok ang mga mag-aaral mula Kinder hanggang Grade 12 sa lahat ng mga pampublikong paaralan sa bansa mula May 2-13, 2022.
Inilaan ang mga nasabing araw upang magampanan ng mga guro at kawani ng DepEd ang kanilang election-related duties. Samantala, kung walang gawain na election-related, ang guro ay kailangang mag-report pa rin sa paaralan.
There will only be 14 school days in May 2022 as stipulated in the calendar of activities for May 2022 under DepEd Order No. 029, s. 2021.
The days of May 2-6 and May 9-13, 2022, in the school calendar were marked with an X, meaning classes in public schools nationwide will be suspended.
May 1, Labor Day, is also a regular holiday.
May 2-6 and May10-13 are intended for National Election related-activities, and May 9 will be for National and Local Elections.
