Mayors kakasuhan kung ‘di magsuspinde ng klase

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) is set to sue any mayor who cannot immediately suspend classes in his area due to heavy rains, floods and other disasters.

This is what DILG Undersecretary Epimaco Densing III said and the constituents of a city and municipality can file a lawsuit with their mayor neglecting their duties.

He said local officials should be alert by 4:30 am if there is heavy rain, flooding and other disasters in the area to declare class suspensions as of 11:00 am. The right time for class cancellation with students in the afternoon.
