Malacanang Palace has issued the Republic Act. No 11120 signed by President Rodrigo Duterte declaring September 2 as a new special non-working holiday.



RA 11120 declaring September 2 of every year a special non-working day has been declared by President Duterte.


The Republic Act is declaring as non-working holiday only in the Province of Ifugao to  commemorate the surrender of Japanese Imperial Army Gen. Tomoyuki Yamashita to the Philippines.

The Provincial Government of Ifugao with Kiangan municipality, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PBAO), and the Military Shrines Service (MSS) will conduct meaningful activities appropriate to the event.
