Modifications to PRC Memorandum Circular on the use of Calculators in Licensure Examinations

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that only examinees with Mathematics as Specialization will be allowed to use calculators during the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT).



Examinees in the Secondary Level, major in Mathematics, may use calculators during the LEPT, provided, that such calculators contain only: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, trigonometric function, logarithm and xy. 

Each examinee will be allowed to use only one (1) calculator inside the examination room. All calculators will be inspected by their examination personnel.

All other examinees not mentioned above will not be allowed to use any calculator.

This is pursuant to Resolution No. 25, series of 2019 published by the Board for Professional Teachers.
