Free Asus Laptops for Public School Teachers
Mabalacat City Mayor Cris Garbo and City Vice Mayor Atty. Geld Aquino led the distribution of 100 Asus laptops to public school teachers under the city government's netbook acquisition program for teachers. Other than the laptops, teachers were also given DVD writers and backpacks.

Mayor Cris Garbo thanked the teachers for their services to the children. He said that he's looking forward to seeing all the young educators in attendance to be school heads someday. " He also expressed his commitment to help the teachers to enhance their skills on iICT so that they won’t be left behind by the world of digital age and computerization.

Dr. Ma. Irelyn Tamayo, Schools Superintendent of DepEd Mabalacat Division, urged the teachers to to take care of the said equipment and use it in their virtual learning activities so that the learners will be more equipped in terms of the skills that are needed be learned under the Kto12 Basic Education Program.

Last year, the local officials of Mabalacat City again issued 1317 laptops ito them. They now have a total of 1417 laptops all in all.
