1. Please be advised that, as confirmed by USEC Diosdado M. San Antonio and RD Gilbert T. Sadsad, though short of official issuance, there will be changes in the School Calendar for s/y 2020-2021 after the close of second quarter this February 2021, to wit:
a. March 1-12, 2021 will be a period of Bridging Learning gaps, Intensifying learning gains, and Enrichment activities for fast learners.
b. March 15-19, 2021 will be INSET for teachers, including Wellness programs.
c. Quarter 3 will start on March 22, 2021 and will end on May 15, 2021.
d. Quarter 4 will start on May 17, 2021 and will end on July 10, 2021.
2. While this office has appreciated very much the initiative of the Education Program Supervisors, School Heads, and Key teachers for being able to prepare the Learning Activity Sheets to be utilized at the start of the 3rd quarter, the field is hereby advised to dispense with the LASs’ distribution tomorrow, Monday, March 1, 2021 in anticipation of the observance of the modified school calendar.
However, SLMs that are scheduled for retrieval must still be collected as scheduled by their respective schools.
3. March 1 and 2, 2021 may be utilized by the schools to prepare plans for the intervention/enrichment and INSET activities.
4. Instructions contained in this advisory will be deemed superseded by the subsequent instructions that will be issued from the higher office/s on this matter.
5. Please be guided accordingly.
