Online Training on the Strengthened Senior High School (SSHS) Curriculum for Teachers
Online Training for Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum for Teachers
Tbe Department of Education (DepEd) has officially announced the launch of a new online training program aimed at senior high school teachers nationwide.
According to Memorandum DM-OULS-2026-229, issued on June 8, 2026, the comprehensive training will be hosted on the DepEd Learning Management System (LMS). The online training will be conducted specifically through the DepEd LMS portal, which can be accessed at learning.deped.gov.ph. The initiative is a collaborative effort spearheaded by the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP) alongside the Bureau of Curriculum Development (BCD) and the Bureau of Learning Delivery (BLD).
The program targets all Senior High School teachers handling Core Subjects, Academic Electives, and Technical Professional (TechPro) Electives across both public and private institutions. Its primary goal is to ensure educators are fully equipped with the necessary content knowledge, pedagogical strategies, and understanding of the new curriculum standards to effectively implement the SSHS Curriculum.
The training offers self-paced courses that delve into curriculum overviews, unpacking learning competencies, and selecting appropriate teaching and assessment strategies. To earn a Certificate of Participation, educators must complete all course components, including pre-tests, post-tests, and a Workplace Application Plan (WAP) outlining how the training will be applied in their local school contexts.
The courses will remain accessible throughout the 2026-2027 school year, granting teachers the flexibility to enroll in multiple subjects as needed. DepEd is also encouraging instructional leaders, such as Principals and Master Teachers, to access the materials so they can provide adequate technical assistance to their staff.
