MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Education (DepEd) is taking a significant leap towards integrating technology into education and administration with the official rollout of "Canva for Education." This initiative, formalized through DepEd Memorandum No. 055, s. 2025, grants all K-12 districts, schools, teachers, and students free access to premium subscriptions of the popular visual communication platform.

Canva for Education is a free visual communication platform specifically designed for K-12 educational institutions. It boasts a rich library of high-quality templates for presentations, posters, infographics, videos, newsletters, digital whiteboards, and various other educational and administrative materials. This partnership between DepEd and Canva Pty Ltd aims to foster collaboration, enhance creativity, and improve the efficiency of learning and teaching processes across the country.

Key Benefits and Features for DepEd Personnel:

The memorandum highlights several advantages for DepEd personnel who activate their Canva for Education accounts using their official DepEd email addresses, offering premium features including:

• Seamless collaboration with colleagues: Facilitating teamwork on projects and presentations.

• Access to official DepEd brand kits and templates: Ensuring consistency in official communications and materials.

• Availability of professional learning resources: Supporting continuous professional development for educators.

• Continued premium access to Canva for Education tools and services: Providing a comprehensive suite of design tools for all educational needs.

Accessing Canva for Education:


DepEd personnel can activate or access their accounts through the following methods:

Through a Web Browser:

• Visit canvapro.com/deped-login.
• Log in using your DepEd email address and password.

Through the Canva Mobile or Desktop Application:

• Download the Canva app for the appropriate platform (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, or ChromeOS).
• Open the app and select "Log In" or "Sign Up."
• Continue to log in using your DepEd email address.
• For DepEd email addresses, select "Continue via Single Sign-On (SSO)" to log in using DepEd credentials.

Important Information for Existing Canva Users:

• Registered with DepEd Email: Personnel who have previously signed up for a free Canva for Education account using their official DepEd email are advised to transition to the official DepEd Canva team to gain premium access.

• Files Migration: 

Files stored in personal Canva teams must be migrated to the official DepEd Canva team before June 1, 2025. Personal teams associated with @deped.gov.ph email addresses will be archived, with detailed step-by-step migration instructions available in Enclosure No. 2 of the memorandum.

Professional Development and Support:

To ensure a smooth transition and maximize the use of the platform, all teaching and non-teaching personnel are encouraged to complete the Canva for Education course available through the DepEd Professional Development Learning Management System (PD-LMS) via canvapd.com/deped-lms-canva-orientation. An e-certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
