Signed by Undersecretary for Administration and Regional Partnership Jose D. Arnulfo A. Sicat, the memorandum aims to engage schools, communities, and stakeholders in preparing public school facilities for the new academic year.

Brigada Eskwela, an annual nationwide school maintenance program, is scheduled to take place from July 14 to July 20, 2025, with the National Kick-Off set for July 14 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). The initiative encourages volunteers to assist in cleaning, repairing, and improving school facilities to ensure a conducive learning environment.

Key highlights of the memorandum include the adoption of the theme "Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan," emphasizing collective effort and community involvement. Schools are tasked with conducting pre-implementation activities, such as inventory and needs assessment, from May 13 to June 13, 2025. The program will culminate with a recognition ceremony on July 26, 2025, to honor outstanding contributions.

The memorandum also outlines specific roles for school heads, teachers, parents, and local government units, encouraging partnerships to maximize resources. For detailed guidelines and procedures, schools are directed to refer to the attached document.

DepEd urges all stakeholders to actively participate in this collaborative effort to enhance the quality of education through well-maintained school facilities.
