WalangPasok: Class suspensions for Friday, October 25, 2024
In-person, online classes and work from Kindergarten to Grade 12 and Alternative Learning System (ALS) are automatically cancelled in schools situated in Local Government Units (LGUs) issued with Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) 1, 2, 3,4 or 5 by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). - DEPED ORDER 037 s. 2022.
According to the 2 p.m. advisory from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Signal No. 3 remains in effect over the provinces of Benguet, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan.
PAGASA reported that Kristine was last tracked near Santa Cruz, Ilocos Sur, with maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour (kph), moving westward at a speed of 20 kph.

The following LGUs have announced the suspension of classes on Friday, October 25, 2024 due to typhoon Kristine.
Ilocos Region
• Pangasinan – all levels (public and private)
• La Union - all levels (public and private)

Metro Manila
• Las Piñas City – all levels (public and private)
• Marikina City – all levels (public and private)
• Muntinlupa City – all levels (public and private)
• Parañaque City – all levels (public and private)
Cagayan Valley
Cagayan
• Tuguegarao City – all levels (public and private)
• Isabela
• Echague – all levels (public and private)
Calabarzon
Batangas province
• Batangas City – all levels (public and private)
• Calaca City – all levels (public and private)
• Cavite province – all levels (public and private)
• Laguna – all levels (public and private)
Central Luzon
• Nueva Ecija – all levels (public and private)
Kristine is expected to traverse Northern Luzon over the next 12 hours and is likely to emerge over the waters west of the Ilocos region later this afternoon. The storm will then continue west-northwestward across the West Philippine Sea and is forecasted to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Friday afternoon.
