Latest update on the grant of PBB 2022 as of July 11
In a recent dialogue on July 11, 2024, between the Teachers’ Dignity Coalition (TDC) and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), the status of the Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) for FY 2022 was a primary topic of discussion.
The DBM confirmed that the PBB 2022 will be received by DepEd personnel, though its release hinges on the timely and accurate data submission by DepEd regions. More than one million DepEd personnel are eligible for the bonus.
The PBB budget for 2022 and 2023 is intact and ready for release, with the process for 2024 expected to be streamlined under Executive Order 61. However, delays have been caused by discrepancies in DepEd’s submissions, such as double entries and missing names. As a result, the DBM has returned submissions from eight regions, including NCR,1, 2, 3, 4A, 4B, 5, and 6 for re-evaluation due to these errors. These forms returned on June 8, 2024, have not yet been resubmitted for validation.
Evaluated documents will receive their Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) on a first-completed, first-released basis. The DBM emphasized the need to address the discrepancies between the two agencies to expedite the process and avoid repeated submissions. DepEd frequently encounters issues, possibly due to its large number of personnel.

The TDC criticized the RPMS-PBB scheme as flawed, leading to inevitable delays despite teachers submitting all requirements on time.
This topic was one of the key issues discussed during the meeting between TDC and DBM.
