Updated list of schools with suspended face-to-face classes

All public schools nationwide shall implement ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES/DISTANCE LEARNING on April 29 and 30, 2024.

READ DEPED ADVISORY:

28 April 2024 - In view of the latest heat index forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) and the announcement of a nationwide transport strike, all public schools nationwide shall implement ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES/DISTANCE LEARNING on April 29 and 30, 2024.

Likewise, teaching and non-teaching personnel in all public schools shall not be required to report to their respective stations.

However, activities organized by Regional and Schools Division Offices, such as Regional Athletic Association Meets and other division or school level programs, to be conducted on the aforementioned dates may push through as scheduled, provided that measures for the safety of all participants have been carefully considered. 

Finally, private schools shall not be covered by this advisory but shall have the option to implement the same.

Las Piñas. Face-to-face classes are suspended on April 25 in all levels, both public and private schools.

Parañaque. Face-to-face classes are suspended on April 25 in all levels, both public and private schools.

Malabon. Face-to-face classes are suspended on April 25 in all levels, both public and private schools.

Imus, Cavite. Face-to-face classes are suspended on April 25 in all levels, both public and private schools.

Tanza, Cavite. Face-to-face classes are suspended on April 25 in all levels, both public and private schools.

Gen. Trias, Cavite. Face-to-face classes are suspended on April 25 in all levels, both public and private schools.

Noveleta, Cavite. Face-to-face classes are suspended on April 25 in all levels, both public and private schools.

Kawit, Cavite. Face-to-face classes are suspended on April 25 in all levels, both public and private schools.

Puerto Princesa, Face-to-face classes are suspended on April 25 in all levels, both public and private schools.

Tuguegarao CityFace-to-face classes are suspended on April 25 in all levels, both public and private schools.

 San Fernando, Pampanga: No face-to-face classes in all levels, public (until April 26, 2024)

Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay - Until May 3, 2024
Paracelis, Mountain Province: Face-to-face, all levels - both public and private- are suspended until April 30 due to an anticipated extreme hot temperature. Alternative learning modality may be utilized during this time.

San Fernando, Pampanga: No face-to-face classes in all levels, public (until April 26, 2024)

Angeles City: No face-to-face classes in all levels, public and private schools (until April 26, 2024)

Here's a list of schools whereface-to-face classes have been put on hold due to extreme heat conditions.

Municipality of Manaoag - All schools in Manaoag, from pre-school to senior high (both public and private), will be shifting to blended learning or suspending afternoon face-to-face classes from April 22 to 26, 2024. This is due to the forecast of a dangerous heat index ranging from 44 to 47 degrees Celsius. This order is based on Executive Order No. 26, s2024 issued by Municipal Mayor Doc Ming Rosario

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 11, Series of 2024 from the Office of the City Mayor, face-to-face classes at the elementary and secondary levels, public or private in Ilagan City o April 18-26, 2024, are canceled but there will still be modular learning and online classes due to the heat.

  • - Tarlac Agricultural University: Suspension until May 17, 2024.
  • - LGU San Miguel, Isabela: Public elementary and secondary schools suspended until April 26, 2024.
  • Saranggani Province: All Public and Private, Until April 19
  • Manila City, afternoon classes, all public schools until May 28
  • Municipality of San Manuel, Isabela, Pre-elementary to Secondary, April 17-19, April 22- 26
  • Municipality of Polomolok, South Cotabato, afternoon classes, all levels, public & private schools, April 17-30
  • Municipality of Malisiqui, Pangasinan, Pre-school to SHS April 17-19

Updates are ongoing. Learners are advised to remain hydrated, stay indoors during peak heat hours, wear light clothing, and avoid strenuous activities.

The Department of Education has previously instructed elementary and secondary schools to adopt alternative learning methods like modular and online classes during such suspensions.
