2022 NATIONAL OBSERVANCE OF THE FILIPINO VALUES MONTH

1. Presidential Proclamation No. 479 uitled Declaring the Month of November of Every Year as Filipino Values Month was signed on October 25, 1994, by the late President Fidel V. Ramos to create moral awakening and national consciousness on human values that are unique, genuine, and positively Filipino With this the society are enjoined to declaration, Filipinos of all ages and from all sectors of actively participate in this annual observance

2. In compliance with the proclamation and ensure realization of its good, the Department of Education (DepEd) joins the nation in the celebration of the 2022 National Observance of the Filipino Values Month with the theme, Magagandang Kougallang Plipino: Isabuhay at Pagyamanin Tango Maticanay at Mosniad na Kinabukasan. This year's theme focuses on how Filipino values can be strengthened and exercised in the life of each Filipino that can contribute to nation-building and achievement of individual and national mals.

3. During the month-long observance, all schools, both public and private are encouraged to integrate the Filipino values in the teaching-learning activities, not only in Edukasyon na Pagpapakatao (ESP) but also in all the different learning areas.

Likewise, such values can also be incorporated in the activities of the different celebrations of the month, such as the:

a. National Children's Month,

b. Economic and Financial Literacy Week.

c. Global Warming and Climate Change Consciousness Week,

d. Araw ng Pagbasa,

e. National Week for the Gifted and Talented.

f. National Science and Technology Week, and

g. Other Co-curricular activities

4. The DepEd offices, regional, division, district, and school levels in collaboration with other stakeholders may create campaign and advocacy materials anchored on the theme to increase awareness among learners and community

5. Activities relative to the observance of the Filipino Values Month (PVM) shall be held in accordance with DepEd Order (DO) No. 9, s. 2005, titled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time on Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith and DO 034, s 2022, titled School Calendar and Activities for the School Year 2022-2023

6. During the celebration of the FVM, the minimum public health standards and Inter-Agency Task Force rulings shall be observed to prevent and minimize the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

7. The Deped through the Bureau of Learning Delivery (BLD), regional and schools division offices shall continuously support the observance of FVM through monitoring, provision of technical assistance, and feedback of the implementation of activities during the month-long celebration of the PVM to ensure sustainability of promoting Filipino values in the entire basic education system.

8. The regional offices shall submit a comprehensive report that describes the activities implemented in relation to the observance of the FVM following the enclosed template through email at bid tid deped gos ph not later than December 31, 2022 These reports will serve as basis for future policy development.
