SUBJECT:
Project 24/7: A Collaboration Professional Development and Certification Program of DepEdICTS-EdTech and Microsoft

To further enhance the capabilities and recognize the proficiency of teachingl personnel in the field of ICT and Digital Learning, the Department of Education (DepEd), through the Information and Communications Technology Service-Educational Technology Unit (ICTS-EdTech Unit), will conduct PROJECT 24/17, a collaborative professional development and certification program from DepEd and Microsoft to upskill the public-school teachers from June to November 2022.

PROJECT 24/17 aims to capacitate and certify a total of 1,224 DepEd teaching personnel through a free training program in becoming Microsoft Certified Educators (MCE) and Microsoft Office Specialists (MOS). 

Application is open to all EPP, TLE, and TVL ICT Teachers from Elementary to Senior High Public-School teachers. Applicants must be:
1. Available once a week for a forty-minute training and committed to studying and practicing via an asynchronous online review.
2. Able to secure an approval or endorsement letter from the school head or immediate supervisor to support them during the training proper.

REQUIREMENTS, MECHANICS AND TRAINING SCHEDULE

The Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) credential verifies that educators possess the global educator technology literacy competencies necessary to provide students with a rich, personalized learning experience. On the other hand, the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification is a globally recognized, standards-based credential that validates a user's proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Requirements:

Recipients MUST have the following:
1. Active DepEd Email and Microsoft Office 365 accounts 

2. Laptop/Desktop with:

a. Windows 8.1 and higher or macOS Mojave or higher

b. Microsoft 365 apps / Office 2019 Recommended browser: 

c. latest version of Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome

d. Stable or strong internet connection with an average speed of 5Mbps or higher

Mechanics:
1. Application is open to all EPP, TLE, and TVL ICT Teachers from Elementary to Senior High Public-School teachers. 

2. Must be available during the 40 mins once a week training and committed to studying, do practicing via an asynchronous online review.

3. Have secured an approval or endorsement letter from the school head or immediate supervisor to support them during the training proper. 

4. Fill out the application form thru https://bit.ly/Project24ETUMS with the attached endorsement letter.

5. Confirmed participants will be announced on 01 June 2022 through an OUA Memorandum and will receive an invite via email to join the virtual event sessions before their schedule.
