GSIS will not collect June loan payments

According to Undersecretary Annalyn M. Sevilla, on her Facebook post on June 10, the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) will not collect June loan payments and this will have an effect of loan term extension.

"Good news:. GSIS will not collect June loan payments and this will have an effect of loan term extension," Sevilla said in her post.

"DepEd will refund the loan payments withheld from the June salary," Sevilla added.

The undersecretary also said that "GSIS is also processing the refund of the March loan payment that was remitted to GSIS in April. Concerned deped employees need not to apply to gsis for the refund as it will be remitted to your UMID cards."

In a report Nora Malabay. GSIS Executive Vice President said "Mag-iistart kami mangolekta ng loan amotizations sa July. 'Yun loan moratorium natin, it will extend the term of the loan. If the remaining term of the loan is let us say is 12 months na lang. so magplu-plus 4 months kami.

[We will start collecting loan amotizations in July. 'Our loan moratorium, it will extend the term of the loan. If the remaining term of the loan is let us say it is only 12 month already, we will just add 4 months.]
