School-based personnel set to receive PBB 2018 - DepED

The Department of Education (DepED) on Monday said that the school-based personnel in the agency are set to receive the Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2018.

PBB is “a top-up incentive given to government personnel of bureaus or delivery unit in accordance to their contribution to the accomplishment of their department’s overall targets and commitments.”

The AO25 Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), according to DepED, has set in place “specific conditions and reviews the agency’s compliance and accomplishments within a fiscal year to determine the eligibility of the agency and its personnel to receive PBB,”

DepEd said the IATF “has decided to grant the PBB 2018 for teaching and non-teaching school-based personnel in all elementary and secondary schools nationwide” subject to the submission of DepEd’s school level set of comprehensive performance indicators.

DepEd said that the agency already “submitted to the IATF the school level performance and ranking reports, which will be the basis for processing the bonus, and to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for funding.

Based on the result of validation of Procurement Requirements for FY 2018 PBB posted by DAF in their official website, the DepEd is non-compliant with the Transparency Seal, PhilGEPS Posting, General Administration and Support Services and Cross-Cutting Requirements.

This led to the decision not to grant the PBB 2018 of the non-school-based personnel in DepEd Central Office, Regional Offices, and Schools Division Offices.

Although the decision of the IATF has been posted, DepEd said it is “committed to appeal for re-consideration and exhaust all possible courses of action for its non-school-based personnel to likewise receive the PBB.”
