Status Update: Implementation of Teacher I-VII and Adjusted Salary Grades

Here's the latest status update on the Implementation of Teacher I-VII and Adjusted Salary Grades in the Department of Education (DepEd) known as the new promotions scheme for teachers.

Based on the report on the ongoing dialogue between the DBM and the Alliance of Concerned Teachers as posted in Manila Public School Teachers Association - MPSTA ACT NCR UNION Facebook post, dated November 30, 2019,  DepEd has already submitted this (Implementation of Teacher I-VII and Adjusted Salary Grades) to DBM and identified its weaknesses.


"Hinggil sa Teacher items (Teacher I to VII) and adjusted salary grades, naihapag na ito ng DepEd sa DBM at natukoy ang mga kahinaan nito," said post.

However, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) clarified that it has not been budgeted for the coming year. 2021 will still be their timeline for implementation.

"Gayumpaman, nilinaw ng DBM na hindi pa ito na-budgetan para sa darating na taon. 2021 pa ang kanilang timeline para sa pagpapatupad nito," according to post.

President Duterte had earlier approved the creation of new permanent positions for public school teachers the proposed creation of four new teaching positions for public school teachers - Teacher IV, Teacher V, Teacher VI and Teacher VII, with higher salary grades than the present items of Teacher I, Teacher II and Teacher III. Sana pag ganyan na e abolish yung HT i promote na sila lahat sa Principal 1 tas sa P2 na magrequire ng PMAT kasi parehas lang naman yan ng work, responsibility, and liability tas iba iba ang sahod. Ang akward nga ng feeling pag na assign ka sa isang school as HT 1 tas may mga MTs in the school na may mas malaki pa ang sahod hehhe.

Karaniwang naiiwan na sa ire itong mga head teachers.biro mo da dep ed lang makikita na ang isang master teacher under sa head teacher ...eh malaki pa ang sahod ng almost 10 thousand pataas. Well infact sa ibang govt.agency sa isang deoartment lahat ng under sa dept.head ay mababa ang sahod. Only in dep ed na napapabayaan na ang mga head teachers. Kung iisipin sa rank and file employee ng dep ed sa isang school. Principal then asst principal followed by dept heads then master teachers and teachers 1 II and III, SO ASAN NA NGAYON ITONG MGA HEAD TEACHERS WHEN IT COMES TO SALARY? NA WHEN IT COMES SA GAWAIN SA SCHOOL HALOS MAGKAPAREHA LANG NG GAWAIN ITONG MGA HEAD TEACHERS KAY ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL AT KAY PRINCIPAL....GIVE JUSTICE NAMAN SA MGA HEAD TEACHERS.PRAYING
