DepEd employees could expect assured 7K SRI this year

The one-time Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) worth P10,000 each for qualified government employees will be funded by the budget under the office of the President and Personnel Services (PS) Allotment of the respective Agency.

The Miscellaneous Personnel Benefits Fund (MPBF) under the FY 2019 General Appropriations Act will fund a portion of the SRI amounting to Seven Thousand Pesos (P7,000) for each employee; and the remaining Three Thousand Pesos (P3,000) for each employee will be sourced out from available released Personnel Service allotments of the respective agencies. In the event that the available released personnel service allotments are insufficient to fully cover the remaining P3,000 per employee, a lower but uniform amount shall be paid to all qualified employees of that agency.

This means that DepEd employees could expect an assured P 7,000 starting December 20 which will be provided by MPBF, a budget under the office of the President.

The remaining P 3,000 that will be drawn from the Personnel Services (PS) Allotment of the DepEd as provided in GAA 2019, is not yet sure if each division offices can fully provide it.

Meanwhile, AO 19 also provides that the DBM shall issue supplemental guidelines to implement this Order, as may be necessary.

But thinking positive won’t hurt. Still, expect at least P 7,000 up to P 10,000 to be credited to your ATM account starting December 20 and not later than December 31 of this year.
